A rebrand and rebuild for a nonprofit protecting the Mediterranean.

We helped Med Sea Alliance redefine their visual identity and digital presence—bringing clarity, emotion, and purpose to their online storytelling.

The Challenge

Med Sea Alliance’s previous website lacked structure, consistency, and emotional resonance. Their brand identity didn’t reflect their mission to protect 30% of the Mediterranean by 2030.

We were tasked to:

  • Redefine the visual identity (logo, palette, typography)
  • Create a storytelling-driven Webflow site
  • Improve accessibility and navigation for diverse audiences
  • Build a scalable content system for future campaigns

With multiple partners involved, the brand had to be both distinctive and adaptable. We designed a visual identity rooted in marine conservation, drawing from the Mediterranean’s natural palette and organic shapes. The result is a brand that feels professional, optimistic and cohesive—representing the M, the sea and the alliance.

Given the limited photo assets available at launch, we created a suite of bespoke patterns inspired by the sea, biodiversity, and flora, created with shapes taken from the new logo icon. These graphics add energy and depth throughout the site, and can be reused in social posts, presentations and reports—helping to maintain visual consistency across touchpoints.

The new site was built in Webflow to give the team control over content updates and campaign launches. We focused on clear information hierarchy and mobile-first design, while making sure the site could support multiple languages in the future. Performance, accessibility and ease of editing were top priorities.

By combining strategic design and thoughtful development, the new Med Sea Alliance website amplifies the voice of the coalition and helps drive real change in marine policy. The site acts as a trusted resource for journalists, policymakers, and the public alike—making the case for a healthier Mediterranean.
